Firefox: Adding smart keyword searches for specific websites

Firefox offers the functionality to allow users to utilize web site search functions without having to browse that website, clicking the search field, and then entering the term to search for. Instead, you can use the address bar to enter a keyword and then the search term, and you will be taken to the results directly.

Solution: Firefox: Adding smart keyword searches for specific websites

1. Browse to the website that you want to search.
2. Rightclick the search field that you want to use to search the website.
3. In the opening context window, select "Add a keyword search for this site"
4. In the opening window, in the Keyword field, enter a search prefix. Click OK.
5. To use the created smart bookmark, enter the keyword and the search string in the Location bar and then press Enter.
