Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices. To make this notice easy to find, we make it available on our homepage and at every point where personally identifiable information may be requested.
What personal information is collected?
Users of techscreen (https://techscreen.tuwien.ac.at/) are authenticated through the TU authentication service. When users login with their TU credentials, the login data will be passed to the TU authentication server, which responds with the name and the email address. Neither the TU login username nor the TU password will be stored within techscreen, but only the name, email address and the contributed user content (problems, solutions, evaluations, tags, comments, ratings).
How does techscreen process information?
Techscreen processes the contributed data through several algorithms with the ultimate goal to derive a users competence profile. Since techscreen is still in prototyp mode, we cannot describe detailed process steps yet. We will provide this information as soon as the processing concepts become concrete. A users competence profile is not shared within the community or to other people from outside. It is only visible to a techscreen user itself.
The persons to whom the personal information belongs may be disclosed.
The techscreen service is basically a public service, whereby only TU registered people is allowed to post and access full content. For anonymous people only a teaser information is available.
How you can correct or delete your personal information?
Contributed information is fully maintained by the author. Each content item may be edited or deleted at any time. A users content is not changeable through other community members. If content is being deleted, techscreen is not able to recover the information.
Our Commitment To Data Security
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
