sorting the whole excel sheet.

The sort button in the excel tool bar will sort all the data until there is a column break. once it encounters the blank column it will not sort all data which is after that blank column

Check if the systems on the same network are active or not.

This is a part of a power saving initiative. where the systems are switched on for 24 hours but people work only 8 hours and the system is left switched on for the remaining 16 hours.So i have a task of making sure that all the systems are turned off once the associates are done with there shift.this had to be done for around 70 systems on floor.

How can i create fast and easily a web application using java (and MVC)

Using Servlets directly in an application server is not flexible enough and too much code and too complex for simple tasks like providing a webservice interface (REST/SOAP) The solution should contain everything needed to create a new project and describe the concepts of the used tools/frameworks.

I detected in the log files of my server, that hundrets of failed login-attempts for the user root are made every day. This attempts should be reduced and the likelihood of an successfull attempt minimized.

Browser does not accept certificate of my own website, even if it is signed by a trusted CA

Browsers should be able to determine if the webserver is really who he says and building up a secure connection to it. Even if there are no errors in the configuration, the webserver starts and the client gets the right certificate at the connection the browser says the connection cannot be trusted and is not secure. The certificate is signed by a trusted CA and the CA certificate is trusted by the browser.

Cannot sync home folder with server when both are using wireless router supplied by A1.

When using the standard router supplied by A1, there is no ability to dictate the DHCP settings required to successfully bind the mobile computer to the server. This however, is a requirement in order to synchronize the home folder of the mobile computer with the home folder of the Open Directory user account. The DHCP settings required by the mediaBox used by A1 for sending IPTV content to the television prevents using the server with an arbitrary domain. Rather, A1 dictates a local domain of .home be used for all their devices.

Cannot sync google contacts with OS X Contacts.app

In order to have the same address book data on your android or iPhone and on your desktop Contacts.app you must have a syncing mechanism configured. There are several ways to do this, but the recommended method is using Gmail's CardDAV service.
