How to distinguish a peer by its endpoint IPV4 Address at last Router/Switch in a P2P system

In Peer2Peer System using just IPV4 Endpoint Address, suppose that we have a peer in USA and two other peers in a same office at TUWien. As you know Layer2 Switches (Common Switches used in LAN) broadcast the message to the network and just because the last address that USA peer has is the router just before the switch, we can not distinguish between two local peers in a same office. So how should I distinguish them?

Keeping a process/thread alive in an ASP.NET website

Actually I need a worker thread to do a specific job repeatedly after a particular amount of time. In fact I tried to run a new Thread and put it into ThreadPool. but after a short time when user leaves the page, the thread is terminated.

Coolite web components doesn't work properly in DotNetNuke Community 5

After adding Coolite component to the module in Visual Studio, it works properly in Visual Studio Test application server. However the problem occurs when we want to attach the module to a DotNetNuke running on an IIS 7. Simply the component does't work and doesn't show reaction to any changes made by user in the environment.

Making a Unix server graphic based

Usually GUI is not pre-installed in Server edition of Ubuntu. You have to install it manually. This can be done by downloading a desktop package from the command line, or any other ways?

Inspect HTML for Web-page description

When we are doing usability analysis of a web page, it is often convenient if not necessary to know what is the html and css form of the visual elements displayed on the page. This could be done by checking the page source code, but this solution is time consuming, since we have to do a logical match between the code and the element.

Source Control Integration for Mantis 1.2.X

Mantis is an open source bug/feature tracker. For documentation purposes it is sometimes necessary to check which bug/feature was resolved in which svn commit. Furthermore the workflow for a ticket can be automated (e.g. change of the status).

Starting glassfish with a Windows service

Glassfish is a Java Enterprise Edition application server. If it is installed on a windows server it is necessary start it automatically, for example after a maintenance reboot. To achieve this goal the glassfish startup process has to be performed with a windows service.

Wrong CVS version of file updated in production system

Sometimes during development it can happen that files are wrongly updated in the production system. In order to avoid application errors and other malfunctions of the production system, the correct version of the file needs to be restored as soon as possible.

Not responsive Java process

A Java application has crashed and needs to be restarted. In order to be able to execute the application again, the not responsive process first needs to be stopped. The application is installed on a remote server, so the operations need to be performed via remote shell.

Data transfer: Android-Phone & OS

It can happen almost anywhere, you want to transfer something from a computer to your phone or vice versa. You have your phone and also an USB-cable but you’re not at your PC where all drivers are installed you are on the go (maybe university or at a friend?). Maybe you are not even able to install drivers as you don’t have the necessary rights on the system? How can you connect your phones memory to an unknown PC that supports USB-Sticks?
